Environmental Specialist with extensive experience of over 38 years in dealing with international agencies, governments, CSOs, media, etc.. and fostering regional and international partnerships. He has extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and in issues related to sustainable development, especially education, climate change, sustainable water management, disaster risk reduction, among others.He is the Founder and General Coordinator of the Arab Network for Environment and Development (RAED) establishment in 1990, which brings together Arab views towards regional and global issues and represents Arab CSOs at the League of Arab States. In 2012, RAED has launched the Egyptian Sustainable Development Forum, which is considered a “Think Tank” to facilitate a process of dialogue among various stakeholders on integrating sustainability in different sectors, especially education.ESDF, under Dr Adly’s leadership, has been focusing in the last 10 years on ESD and succeeded in establishing partnerships with Egyptian Universities ESDF developed the capacities of more than 800 university students on SDGs. Also, established a regional partnership with the Cypriot Ministry of Culture and Education to share their experience on ESD on the regional and national levels.
